An awesome place to become a regular at! The food is wonderful as is the very friendly staff as they help you venture down new roads in Thai cuisine. I just enjoyed the Wonton soup, although similar to the Chinese version, this was full of taste, roast pork, veggies and homemade Wontons. The Shrimp rolls are outstanding and should not be missed. I was lucky and found the best Crying Tiger that I have ever eaten. It has changed the way that I eat beef. The sauce is remarkable. I think the best thing that I can share with those that have not experienced the Thai Cafe yet is that each dish is full of taste, and some heat, depending upon your wishes, but the heat never overpowers the dish. All that I can say is try it out for yourself, I hope that I haven’t lost my seat there. Once the word is out, this is one restaurant that will be crowded for sure!

What a wonderful restaurant!  This is a great location, excellent food, and creative atmosphere.  I tried a few different entrees while eating here: Tom yum soup, green curry, pad thai, papaya salad, coconut ice cream and pad see eaw….all of them were delicious. The presentation and service was very professional and inviting.  I cannot wait to go back and try something new! Especially the Crying Tiger; yum!

Great food, and the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating.  I loved the sleek, “new” atmosphere too.  The Pad Thai was about the best I’d ever had.  They scared me away from their “Thai Hot” spiciness level in favor of “American Hot” — but if you’re a fan of very spicy, the American Hot didn’t breach the sweat level.  I’ll definitely be trying the Thai Hot next time.

I consider this place an instant addition to my regular stops, and highly recommend it.

This restaurant is awesome!  I STRONGLY recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Phoenix area.  The food is fresh, tasty, and creative.  It’s the perfect family run neighborhood business!  Photos accompany the menu, so ordering is an absolute breeze for Thai food beginners.

I sampled the chicken satay and papaya salad for an appetizer.  Although quite spicy hot for my Midwestern pallet, the salad was a wonderful and unique beginning to the meal.  The satay was perfectly seasoned and grilled.  The peanut sauce that accompanied it was Heaven in a dipping bowl.

There were at least 12 dishes on the menu that I was aching to try. My dining partner and I opted to split two ubiquitous Thai dishes. The Pad Thai was simply delightful!  The dish was NOT weighted down with oil and tasted very fresh.  The Thai Fried Rice was also perfection– we ordered ours with tofu.  I’m not a big fan of tofu, however, Thai Cafe prepared the tofu in a way that actually has me excited to eat tofu again.

I’m already planning my next trip to Thai Cafe.  The extensive soup and curries selections are calling my name!

Hidden in a small alcove behind a bright Red Robbin and Olive Gardens that line the street is a wonderful little restaurant called the Thai Cafe. We went in not knowing what to expect but it was beautifully furnished inside and the wait staff was attentive and informative – which was especially helpful because the menu was so VAST that it was contained in a small three ring binder complete with pictures of many of the dishes. My friend ordered the Thai barbecue beef entree while I went with the Thai noodle soup. The barbecue was a large portion that was absolutely DELICIOUS and was served with a generous helping of white rice. I ordered the Thai noodle soup with chicken which was enormous! I had ordered it thinking it would be akin to a small bowl of pho, but the noodles were wide but very thin/flat and the serving size large enough to feed at least two people. Along with the soup, I was given three different spices/condiments to add to get to the decided hot/spicy level (I could identify the red chili oil, the others were new to me). While we had been waiting for our orders, we were brought a complimentary sampler of the breaded fish cakes – also very yummy. And after the main course, we were brought another complimentary dish of bananas in coconut milk! Several times during the meal we were attended to and our drinks refreshed well before they were even half gone. We’ve only just moved to the Phoenix valley but I am looking forward to heading back to the Thai Cafe and sampling more from their menu.

The Thai Cafe is a beautiful new restaurant in a perfect location–right across from the Chandler Mall. I strongly recommend it to any fan of authentic Thai cuisine. I visited with my family and we sampled several dishes including the green curry, papaya salad and traditional pad thai. Everything was full of delicious flavors. The coconut milk in the curry had just the right amount of sweetness and the papaya salad had a nice blend of sweet and spicy, but was also quite refreshing.

The menu is surprisingly extensive and accompanied by several photographs, allowing you to eat with your eyes. The waiter and other staff were incredibly attentive and the atmosphere was very low key and laid back, which was much desired after a long shopping day at the mall.

I recommend this restaurant to anyone. I’ve already told many friends to go. I definitely will return.

MMM Good Thai food! I tried everything they had to offer, I think I even went back for seconds. when in the area stop by for a bite you’ll be glad you did. and I cant forget the costumer service by far the BEST!!
